Robert Burns composed the “Selkirk Grace”, a dinner blessing that is most commonly (in modern times) used as a blessing during “A Robert Burns Dinner Evening.”

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow…

 then, in traditional version:

Sae let the Lord be thankit! Some hae meat and canna eat,
And some would eat that want it;
But we hae meat, and we can eat,
Sae let the Lord be thankit.

or, in modern version:

The Lord be Thanked; Some have meat and cannot eat;
Some cannot eat that want it:
But we have meat and we can eat
The Lord be thanked
