Robert Burns wrote many of the most famous poems and songs from Scotland, including Auld Lang Syne and Scots Wha Hae.  Born in 1759, Burns is regarded as the national poet of Scotland and celebrated annually on his birthday, January 25th, with the Burns Supper.
