A Study in Time Showing the Migration of Henderson Pioneer Families from Scotland and Ireland to the New World of the Americas.

This project is called First Hendersons in America and its purpose is to further the study of Henderson genealogy worldwide. The project is administered entirely online via the public Internet, and while it’s free, we would like you to consider joining the organization that makes it possible, Clan Henderson Society, Inc. An investment of $15.00 annual membership fee would ensure the continued availability of tools like this one and others planned for the future.

If you choose to join our family project, you will be asked to share information about your first Henderson immigrant, the first Henderson in your family who set foot on American soil. In doing so, you may discover other lines of Hendersons produced by your ancestor, i.e your Henderson cousins of today. You will also learn about your first immigrant’s origin and his extended family – cousins, aunts and uncles and parents left behind in Scotland, Ireland and England. If you don’t know your First Henderson, submit your Henderson family tree anyway. Perhaps we will be able to find your First Henderson by comparing your tree with others.

Using proprietary software, we will organize our collective information into centuries showing 17th century Henderson immigrants to America, 18th century Hendersons, 19th century Hendersons, and so on. We will ask you to provide documented sources that connect your first Henderson immigrant to your current generation.

If you are interested in participating in First Hendersons in America, continue browsing this website and take advantage of the genealogy tools presented here. If you would like to join the project, go to the menu tab in the upper left corner of this page and click on “Become a Family Line Contributor”. If you have questions regarding the project, contact the project administrator at FirstHenderson-Admin@clanhendersonsociety.org .

IMPORTANT – The genealogy staff of Clan Henderson Society have not verified sources or documentation presented. The objective of this project is to bring Henderson genealogists together to share information, correct errors and verify sources off-line.
