The Clan Henderson Society uses its’ resources to promote Scottish culture, provide scholarships, organize appropriate events, attend Scottish games and festivals, conduct genealogy research and document the history of the Henderson Clan. Many of you routinely ask to make donations and we apprecaite your support.
A donation to the general fund is used where it is most needed, as determined by the Executive Board. If you would like it to be used for a specific purpose you may send an email to the Treasurer providing the details.
Genealogy Research Donation
This fund helps CHS DNA research, the First Henderson Project and the CHS Family Tree initiatives. It also helps support CHS membership in several genealogical programs.
Chief’s Fund Donation:
Donations to the Chief’s Fund are used for Youth Scholarships, Charitable organizations and support to the CHS awards program. Note: by writng in the word “Poster” in lieu of a phone number in this category you will recieve a “Brave” movie poster. Donation must be a minimum of $20 to defray postage and handling.
Regional Support Donation.
Donations to this fund are applied to the region where you live. These funds are used at the discretion of the Regional Commissioner.
National Scottish Immigrant Memorial Donation
This donation is used to pay for a Clan Henderson granite flagstone marker at the National Scottish Immigrants Memorial in Philadelphia, PA. The Executive Board voted to fully fund this from the General Fund but also to ask members to donate until $2000 had been restored to the General fund.
You may also make a donation by check when mailing in your annual dues to the membership secretary or by sending a check directly to the Treasurer. If donating by mail, please indicate how you want your money to be used, otherwise it will be placed in General Funds.
