Hi everyone.  I'm glad to see a forum here.  I hope it flourishes as I am quite the "forum junkie."  I joined and paid dues back in January and look forward to corresponding with some fellow Clansmen.  Here are a couple of photos of myself in my Henderson kilts.

Welcome aboard Brad!  Hopefully this forum will spark some serious discussions and debate, that is at least my goal.  Everyone will hopefully contribute and learn from this experience.  Take care and talk soon, thanks. Big%20smile

I've been meaning to get over here and get involved with the forums on our Clan's website, but couldn't seem to find the time to sit down with the computer.
Well, I finally made it, though. Glad to see you here- I think we met at Xmarks a few months ago, but I haven't had time to get back there either.
Your first picture- is that Weathered Henderson Tartan? My son and I just purchased some material from Sportkilt to make feileadh mohrs for the upcoming Fresno Highland games. It's the Henderson Ancient tartan which I believe is in your second picture?

Beannachd leibh.

Bradley - - -
Welcome to the Henderson Society of the USA!  There are two events annually in Albuquerque which you can attend and it would be great if you would consider sponsoring a Henderson tent at these events.  I did set up my tent there a few years back and actually found some Henderson cousins.  Since that time we've not had any representation and would
like to see the name before the public once again.  You can contact Buzz McEldowney, the regional Commissioner, in order to get Clan info to support your efforts.  Again - WELCOME!!

I'll have to contact him and look into that and find out what it involves. I think iyd be a hoot. On and Ted, we did meet over on xmarks, I'm a regular there. And yes the first picture is the weathered Henderson. The cloth is 16oz. Strome from Lochcarron. The kilt is made by Matt Newsome from the Tartan Museum in Franklin NC in a traditional box pleat style. The second picture is made from Lochcarron's Reiver weight cloth and is the ancient hue, yes.

Brad,

When you take that big step to convene a tent, please provide regular reports on the life of the clan in New Mexico--you will notice I love to use photos in An Canach, Russ Henderson, Editor
